Brighton and Hove Albion have recently confirmed that Aaron Mooy has made his loan move a permanent one from Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The Australian had been on loan with Graham Potter's side in this year's campaign, and had been a regular in the Seagulls' first team.

Mooy has made 19 appearances so far this season for Brighton, and he'll be hoping he can play his part in their survival bid in the Premier League.

The Seagulls are sat 15th in the top-flight at the moment, and will be keen to pull themselves clear of the bottom three at the earliest of opportunities.

His permanent move from Huddersfield Town brings an end to a three-year spell at the John Smith's Stadium.

Mooy made 120 appearances in total for the Terriers, and played a starring role in their promotion into the Premier League in the 2017/18 season.

But he was unable to stop them from being relegated back into the second tier after just two seasons in the top-flight.

He made the loan switch to the Amex Stadium in the summer of 2019, and has certainly made a good impression with the Seagulls in the time he moved down South.

The Verdict:

It was only a matter of time before this move was made a permanent one.

Mooy has shown that he's more than good enough to play in the Premier League on a regular basis with Brighton. Huddersfield are really struggling to stay afloat in the Championship this season and Mooy is far too good to be playing in the second tier in my eyes.

He was previously on the books with Manchester City, and if he can continue to impress, then I see no reason why he can't earn a move to a club challenging for places in Europe in the future.

He's a player with real potential, who is playing at the very top of his game at the moment.
