Queens Park Rangers were eventually seen off 3-2 by Middlesbrough in a rollercoaster of a match at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

An early goal - a first for the club - by David Wheeler and a second half strike from substitute Jamie Mackie twice put QPR ahead at the home of the side many people have marked down as promotion favourites.

In the end, Boro's attacking menace told, and £20m strike duo Ashley Fletcher and Britt Assombalonga eventually put the game beyond QPR.

QPR fans reacted on Twitter and the main talking point was the winning goal.

The ball looked as if it was out of play in the lead up to Boro's winner and some QPR fans were very much laying the blame at the officials' door for the fact they didn't leave the north east with something.

However, other fans were keen to point out that the QPR defenders could have done a lot more to prevent the goal, regardless of the officials not doing their job.
