Norwich City are once again regrouping after a relegation from the Premier League and they'll be once again hoping to challenge for promotion from the Championship on the back of that.

The Yellows are in a bit of a loop of promotions and relegations and it's obviously an aim of theirs to snap out of it and stay in the top flight eventually.

That said, then, it's going to be interesting seeing the sort of side Dean Smith names week in, week out in the second tier this year and, of course, which players potentially come back into the fold.

That in mind, we spoke to FLW's Norwich City fan pundit Zeke Downes to see whether he thought Todd Cantwell should stay or go.

Here's what he had to say:

"I think the Cantwell situation is a very strange one.

"Unfortunately, it seems like all the bridges have been burned but now I mention that, he is back with us and I think unless another team can come in with a decent bid, which I doubt, then I think he will have to stay.

"Whether he plays very often is another thing, but if he does then I think he will be massive because he's one of our most talented players anyway so I'm hoping that it's all going to work out."

The Verdict

The Cantwell situation is certainly an odd one, Zeke is right.

The midfielder was potentially going to move to the likes of Liverpool or Spurs had rumours come to pass into reality but that's not what happened.

He was instead on loan at Bournemouth last season, but couldn't really get into a flow there and so now he's back at Norwich.

We know the talent he has, though, so let's see what happens.
