Outgoing Sheffield United man Paul Heckingbottom has sent a heartfelt message of thanks to the club and it’s supporters on Twitter as he steps out of the role pf first team manager.
The 43-year-old was put in charge of the Blades following the departure of Chris Wilder but was unable to keep the club in the Premier League as they succumbed to relegation after a disastrous second consecutive season in the top flight.
Now the club have moved to kick start the rebuilding process by appointing Slavisa Jokanovic as the club’s new full time manager with immediate effect, with the former Watford and Fulham man looking to take the club back to the top tier at the first attempt next season.
Heckingbottom has now taken to Twitter to wish the club the best of luck and naturally the post received many responses from the Sheffield United faithful earlier today.
