Sky Bet Championship side Wigan Athletic have announced their retained list, following the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign.

It is shaping up to be a busy summer for the Latics, who will be looking to kick on after cementing their place in the second tier for at least another year.

Paul Cook's side finished 18th in the league standings this season following their promotion from League One the previous campaign, and the former Portsmouth boss will be looking to keep hold of his key players this summer.

Nick Powell is a player who certainly fits the bill of being a key player for Wigan - the club have made contract offers to the midfielder, as well as goalkeeper Owen Evans, with their current deals at the DW Stadium set to expire.

It could be too little too late for Wigan, though, with Powell set to move to Stoke City on a free transfer after a hugely impressive campaign, scoring eight goals and producing six assists for the Latics.

Elsewhere, the club have let go of six senior players, with Darron Gibson, James Vaughan and Callum McManaman among a host of names now looking for new clubs.

Here, we take a look at Wigan fans' reactions to this list...
