Bristol City have confirmed that Richard Gould will be the club's new CEO, with the 51-year-old to join in mid-June.
The Robins have been on the lookout for a new CEO since it was reported that Mark Ashton was stepping down in the summer to join Ipswich Town after their change in ownership.
That has been known for a few weeks now, with Bristol City announcing his successor on their official site.
Gould, who is the son of former player Bobby, has experience in sport, having spent the past decade as CEO with Surrey Cricket Club, with his role important to the success they enjoyed.
Whilst switching to football will require different qualities, it's fair to say that the appointment has been met with positivity from the fans who have seen the work that Gould has done in the past.
