Steve Bruce is ready to stamp his authority all over Sheffield Wednesday this summer as he looks to turn the Owls into promotion challengers again.

He steered them impressively away from a potentially disastrous relegation last season after joining the club in January and will now be looking to the transfer window in order to make changes.

And some news emerged today on the topic of new signings with Brentford full-back Moses Odubajo apparently in advanced talks over a move to Hillsborough, according to Football Insider.

The former Hull City man has played under Bruce before but has fallen down the pecking order at Griffin Park this season after some nasty injuries.

But would this be a good signing for Wednesday?

We discuss...

Toby Wilding

"I think this is probably a smart move.

"Odubajo has had a solid season for Brentford, and Steve Bruce knows him well from their time together at Hull, meaning he should be a good option for Wednesday next season.

"Bruce isn't the sort of manager you feel would sign a player for the sake of it, and with Odubajo available on a free, Wednesday aren't having to take a financial risk with this one."

Jacob Potter

"A smart bit of business.

"Bruce knows what Odubajo can bring to the Sheffield Wednesday team as they have previously worked together in their time with Hull City.

"He's a versatile option to have and is certainly the type of player that could thrive under Bruce's guidance next season."

George Brooks

"Odubajo is a very good player and would be an excellent signing for Sheffield Wednesday - especially as they would be getting him on a free transfer.

"He is an experienced player, has been an important player for Brentford this season and has played under Steve Bruce before at Hull City.

"He is a versatile player and would be a great addition to the squad."
