QPR completed their season at the weekend with a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday, a result that means the Hoops finish the season in 19th spot in what has been a season of under-achievement at Loftus Road.

Caretaker boss John Eustace has overseen first team affairs since the sacking of Steve McClaren, but his tenure looks to be coming to a close with former Brentford and Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton expected to be appointed permanent manager this week, as reported in the Daily Mail.

So, is Warburton the right appointment for QPR?

We discuss........

George Brooks

"I think so.

"Warburton is an experienced manager and has done well in the Championship before, guiding Brentford to the play-offs.

"He has proved that he has the ability to operate on a limited budget and this will be essential for QPR."

Gary Hutchinson

“He’s an interesting one.

“Whether he’s the right one or not, that’s open to debate.

“What he does have is experience and he revolutionised Brentford.

“That connection is what worries me, they’re rivals.”

Jacob Potter

"I think this is a smart appointment.

"Warburton knows the Championship well and has impressed me in his recent spells in the second tier of English football.

"He’s the right person to appoint to help guide QPR back up the Championship table next season."
