Middlesbrough are struggling for form heading into the Christmas period, with Tony Pulis’ side falling behind the leading pack in the Championship’s promotion race.

January looks set to be key for Pulis, as he looks to reshape his playing squad ahead of the run-in.

According to the Northern Echo, Jason Puncheon is a man he’s keen to reunite with, as the midfielder finds himself down the pecking order at Crystal Palace.

So, would the 32-year-old be a good addition?

We discuss…

Gary Hutchinson

No, it’s just another reflection of Tony Pulis not knowing what he’s doing.

He worries me, he always has.

He’s got good players at Boro, but the formation and the system don’t fit them.

Instead of working with what he has, he’s ruining a good squad.

Jacob Potter

He’d be a shrewd bit of business.

Middlesbrough are crying out for some creativity in the centre of midfield and Puncheon could certainly provide that.

His experience would also come in handy as they battle to stay in the top six this season.

George Harbey

I think he’d be a good signing.

He may not be the fastest or youngest of players, however, he’s very creative and can unlock doors for Boro.

His experience will be invaluable, too.
