With just two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Neil Harris is still looking to strengthen his Millwall side, who are yet to record a victory this season in the Sky Bet Championship.

It has been reported that Harris will add Jem Karacan as cover to his midfield, with the ex-Reading and Bolton man set to sign a short-term contract at The Den.

The 29-year-old free agent has had a loan spell at Millwall previously, but is his return a good move by Harris?

We discuss…

George Dagless

This would be a solid Millwall signing.

He knows the league well and is committed in all he does so you could see him doing well under Neil Harris.

He's still got a few years left in his career, too, so I think this could be a shrewd arrival.

Sam Rourke

This is a shrewd move by Harris.

Karacan's career has stagnated in recent years but playing at the New Den could be what he needs to revive his career.

Having had a spell at the club already in 2008, it's not like he's coming into a completely new environment which is a major benefit.

His hard-working style of play is what Harris will be after, so he'll be a useful member of the Lions squad.

Christian Fuller

I am not so sure he is needed.

There is no doubt that Jem Karacan is a talented player in the middle of the park, but whether Millwall need him in their ranks is another question.

Not picking up a win yet this season could have caused some nervous bids to be placed, but only time will tell if the Turkish midfielder will do well at The Den.

Chris Gallagher

He’s a decent signing.

The obvious concern is his lack of football over the years, but if he can get up to fitness then Karacan is a capable player at this level.

He will provide good competition for Neil Harris in an area of the pitch where Millwall need more bodies.
