Aston Villa have made their move to sign Yannick Bolasie, with the Everton winger holding talks with Steve Bruce at Bodymoor Heath this morning.

Bolasie is also attracting interest from Middlesbrough at this late stage of the summer, but reports today have confirmed that Villa have made their move to sign the 29-year-old.

Would the winger be a good addition to Bruce’s squad?

We discuss…

Chris Gallagher

He would be a great signing for Villa.

There's no doubt he's not the same player after suffering that awful injury at Everton, but he is still good enough to star in the Championship.

His pace, power and skill are exactly what Villa need and this would be a massive coup for the club, particularly as it would be a big blow for promotion rivals Middlesbrough.

George Dagless

Bolasie would boost them greatly.

He's a Premier League player and would definitely add attacking potency to a Villa side that needs more options up front.

It certainly gives them a bigger chance of promotion if he joins.

Louie Chandler

He would be a brilliant signing for any Championship club, simply because he is far too good for the division.

But he clearly seems willing to drop down for game time so why shouldn't Villa go for him?

He would be the perfect signing to kick their season into life and really make their fans believe it could be a successful year.

Lee Connor

Bolasie would be a superb addition for the Villans.

Someone of genuine Premier League quality, his pace and trickery down either wing would be massive for Villa if they want to win promotion.

The idea of getting one over on one of their promotion rivals in Middlesbrough could also be massive.

The thought of Bolasie, Grealish, and Adomah playing behind Kodjia is frightening at Championship level in all honesty.

A seriously good signing.
