Championship strugglers Derby County secured an impressive 0-0 draw at Craven Cottage against leaders Fulham last night, taking four points from a possible six from the current top two in recent days.

Looking to build on their 3-2 home victory over AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, Derby's clash with the Cottagers yesterday evening was anything but a goal fest, being dominated by the hosts but digging in well to secure a valuable point in the English capital.

Many would argue this was yet another must-win game for a side currently 16 points adrift of safety, especially with key figure Aleksandar Mitrovic out of action for Marco Silva's men.

But there was still the need to defend well against his replacement in Rodrigo Muniz, with the Brazilian scoring an impressive late brace against Blackburn Rovers earlier this month and being supported by the likes of Harry Wilson, Fabio Carvalho and Neeskens Kebano in attack.

The experienced centre-back duo of Curtis Davies and Phil Jagielka were crucial in keeping the threatening quartet at bay, putting their bodies on the line to keep a much-needed clean sheet after going without one in their previous six league games and being picked out for praise by teammate Kelle Roos for their commitment.

Though ex-Sheffield United man Jagielka was equally as impressive at Craven Cottage, Davies was the man on social media that was particularly showered in praise for his display.

With this, we look at some of the Twitter responses to the latter's performance.
