Queens Park Rangers have secured the long-term future of Luke Freeman, with the midfielder agreeing a new contract at Loftus Road that will run until the summer of 2021.  

Freeman’s previous deal had only 18 months left on it, with speculation growing about his future as Middlesbrough lurked.

However, QPR have gone a long way to quashing all speculation, with an announcement confirming Freeman’s fresh terms with the London club that will run for another two-and-a-half years.

The 26-year-old has made over 80 appearances since arriving at Loftus Road, scoring 10 goals in that time.

He’s also had a hand in 17 assists in that time, proving to be one of the Championship’s most creative players in the last two years.

As expected, such a positive update received plenty of reaction from the Loftus Road faithful.
