Plymouth Argyle have endured a largely inconsistent start to the season, with the Pilgrims currently sitting in 13th place after a mixed bag of results thus far.

Argyle were many people's clear favourites to achieve promotion at the first attempt and secure an instant return to League One, however with the Devon based side currently four points off the play-offs, there is clearly some work to be done for Ryan Lowe.

Their chances of an upturn in form were dealt another blow yesterday, with news filtering through that attacking midfielder Jose Baxter had agreed to depart the club by mutual consent, following a calf injury that would have restricted his availability for Argyle considerably.

The former Everton man only arrived at Home Park during the summer, with the 27-year-old making just 12 appearances in all competitions following his move from Oldham Athletic.

Naturally, the Argyle faithful were shocked by the club's announcement on Baxter, with many taking to social media to comment on the news.
