Leeds United are reportedly rivalling the likes of Norwich and Sunderland to the signing of Motherwell winger, Jake Hastie according to the Daily Record.

The promising winger has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the Scottish side this season.

Leeds are believed to have sent scouts to watch Hastie in action against St Mirren in midweek, and they would have been impressed with what they witnessed from the youngster.

He scored the opener on the night, in a game that Motherwell ran out narrow 2-1 winners.

Hastie has made five appearances for Motherwell in a breakthrough season for the 19-year-old, as he spent the first-half of the season out on loan at Alloa.

Marcelo Bielsa could certainly be the man to get the best out of the youngster, who is evidently highly-sought after with such a bright future ahead of him.

But would Hastie be a good signing for Leeds in the summer?

We discuss....

Louie Chandler:

"A potentially exciting James alternative.

"If the Swansea winger does sign a new deal in South Wales, then Hastie could be a very wise alternative.

"He would not be as safe a bet as James but you would back Bielsa to get the best out of him."

Jacob Potter:

"Bielsa would be able to get the best out of him.

"Hastie is an exciting prospect and he could thrive under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

"He is a star of the future and could play a starring role in the success of Leeds going forward."

George Harbey:

"Leeds' youth development this season has been second to none, and Hastie could be another exciting option for the Whites.

"Obviously, he won't get into the team straight away, but he'll be looking to follow in the footsteps of Jack Clarke and Jamie Shackleton.

"This would be the best move for Hastie."
