‘A new era, come on lads’ – Sheffield Wednesday fans left delighted by Boxing Day victory

Sheffield Wednesday returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a dominant 3-0 win away at Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

It had been a turbulent week for the Owls, who lost to Middlesbrough at the weekend before sacking manager Carlos Carvalhal, but Caretaker Manager Lee Bullen will have been delighted to see his side notch a well needed three points at the City Ground.

The Owls dominated from start to finish, and had Adam Reach to thank for the opening goal as he thundered in a stunner to silence the home fans. Out of form striker Jordan Rhodes then struck from the penalty spot, before a second half effort from Lucas Joao rounded off the day.

Following the game, plenty of Owls fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts and opinions on the result, and it’s safe to say there was a swift change in attitude from the weekend.

Here’s a look at how Wednesday fans reacted to the win over Nottingham Forest today…
