QPR are among a plethora of Championship sides eyeing a loan move for Liverpool striker Liam Millar, as per Football Insider.

The R's are joined by the likes of Millwall, Blackburn and Stoke in pursuit of the 21-year-old, who is being told he can leave Anfield on a temporary basis to further his development.

Millar spent last season out on loan at Kilmarnock and offers a versatile option in attacking areas, with him able to operate as a centre-forward or out on the left flank.

So, from a QPR perspective, what do you make of this? Would he be a good addition for Mark Warburton's side?

I think this is a much-needed signing for QPR and it could prove to be a shrewd bit of business.

Despite Lyndon Dykes starting the season strongly, I still think that QPR are quite short in attacking options, and they lost so much goal threat in the summer with Ebere Eze joining Crystal Palace and Jordan Hugill returning to West Ham before joining Norwich City.

Another striker is definitely needed, and it's not as if the club can go out and splash the cash on a proven goalscorer - they need to recruit wisely, and the club have been quite lucky in the loan department in recent seasons, with Hugill and Nahki Wells proving to be quality additions.

Millar is obviously nowhere near Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans, but at the age of 21, he needs to get out and get regular game time under his belt, and a move to West London could be a good one.

He's already made eight appearances for Canada which shows that he has decent pedigree, and he should be jumping at the chance of moving on loan to a big club like QPR.

I think it could be a good signing.

Millar is a good player and seems to now be at a point in his career where he needs to be playing senior football rather than youth football where he looks to have outgrown things.

Obviously, he's not going to get into the Liverpool set-up just yet and so a move to the Championship could be worth a look for sure.

QPR could perhaps do with another striker to add to their ranks and they obviously have that culture in place to get the best out of young players so there's no reason why it couldn't work.

I can’t say that I know too much about Millar and whether he’d be suited to the Championship.

Assessing his stats in the youth team at Anfield, he’s hardly a prolific forward, which does stand out and suggest that he’s not quite what QPR need to progress under Warburton.

Nevertheless, there’s a reason that he’s on the books at Liverpool and so highly thought of.

He’s 21 and has room to grow, with Warburton the type of manager that works well with players of this ilk.

In that case, he might be good for a short-term loan, but not as a leading man in West London.
