It may be outside the transfer window but that will not stop teams looking to bring in players and QPR are no different on that front.

Having allowed Toni Leistner to head back to Germany on loan for the remainder of the season, Mark Warburton is on the hunt for reinforcements in that area, with Alexander Milosevic being linked with a move.

But who is the defensive target? And would he make a good addition?

Here is today's FLW Six Pointer...

First of all, who is Milosevic?

"The Swede may be familiar to fans of the Championship from his spell with Nottingham Forest last season.

"He made the move to The City Ground during the January window last year and experienced a strong start to life in the East Midlands, becoming a regular at the back.

"However, he had fallen badly out of favour under Sabri Lamouchi, failing to play a single minute before having his contract terminated in October."

What would he bring to QPR?

"At 28 he has plenty of experience at this level but would also have the potential to play for a few seasons yet at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

"He is strong in the air and tough in the tackle. He is not the fastest, which is perhaps his biggest drawback, but he is smart enough for it to not be a problem.

"He is also capable of slotting into a back-four or anywhere in a back three as well, giving Warburton plenty of scope to switch things up if he needs to."

Which players should be concerned about his potential arrival?

"The obvious one is Connor Masterson.

"The former Liverpool man has had to work hard to get a look in in West London since arriving in the summer but when he has played, fans have mostly been happy with what they've seen.

"However he is still far from at the top of the pecking order with Grant Hall and Dominic Ball, Yoann Barbet all ahead of him, so any new arrival could signal a spell in the under-23's again."

So do they actually need him?

"To be honest, I am not actually all the convinced he is that needed.

"I do think he would add a bit of coolness to the QPR defence but, given that they are heading for a midtable finish, it seems a bit pointless when they could be giving someone like Masterson more experience instead.

"If anything it is a move that could do more harm than good."

QUIZ: How much can you remember about QPR’s 2020 so far?

Are there any better options out there for the R's?

"Not particularly.

"I don't think you can expect to be spoilt for choice at this stage of the season. Looking at those available, Tommy Smith and Glen Loovens seem to the only others available with a reasonable level of Football League experience.

"So if they are to go for a new centre-back, it should probably be Milosevic."

So, will they actually land the defender?

"I think they will.

"There does not seem to be many other options for his services and Milosevic will want to get back to playing.

"IFK Gothenberg were recently put out of the running after he rejected a contract offer from them, so it seems to have left QPR as the only really viable option now."
