It has been a turbulent start to the season for Queens Park Rangers with the club currently sat in 17th place.

It is a position that the fans would have undoubtedly bitten your hand off for after the first four games of the season, with club having lost every fixture.

They have stabilised impressively since then, however, with the summer arrivals of Angel Rangel, Nahki Wells and Tomer Hemed playing a big part in the upturn in form.

Attention may well have already turned to the January transfer window, with a fair few of the playing squad at Loftus Road possibly heading towards the exit.

So, which of Steve McClaren's current troops are almost certain to be leaving?

We discuss...

Alfie Burns

Big Matt Smith is finding his opportunities limited after the arrival of Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells, so he could be one player on the move in the New Year.

The powerful striker has a lot to offer and won’t be happy sat on the fringe.

Chris Gallagher

Idrissa Sylla.

The striker isn't getting the game time he wants and it's understandable with Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells in front of him, along with others.

That's unlikely to change before January so he will have to look elsewhere.

It won't bother the R's at all.

George Harbey

The R’s were desperate to get rid of Idrissa Sylla in the summer.

He’s only played three games this season and is bound to leave in January.

Louie Chandler

It is hard to look past Sylla.

He is way down the pecking order in terms of strikers at the club and a move away will be best for him and the club before any toxic situation breaks out.
