Chris Wilder was extremely frustrated with Sheffield United’s performance at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening, with the Blades failing to maintain their position at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, after suffering a 1-0 defeat on their trip to London.

The Blades return to Bramall Lane this Saturday after back-to-back away trips, where they will face Hull City. Saturday’s clash is the perfect opportunity for Wilder’s side to bounce back against a Hull side who are under huge pressure after a sloppy start to the season.

Here at FLW, we look at the starting XI Wilder could select, with some forced changes due to injury and the return of some first-team regulars after a midweek reshuffle.

Jamal Blackman’s injury is a huge disappointment, but Simon Moore was fantastic for the Blades in League One last season, and is a more than capable replacement in goal. We could also see a reshuffle in the Blades’ defence, due to the doubt surrounding George Baldock, which could mean Chris Basham is moved to right wing-back, with Richard Stearman coming into central defence alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jack O’Connell. Enda Stevens will be expected to continue at left wing-back.

John Fleck was certainly missed on Tuesday night, and he will expect to return to central midfield alongside Paul Coutts. We are also expecting to see Mark Duffy reintroduced to the starting XI, ahead of David Brooks.

Leon Clarke is proving to be Wilder’s find of the season so far, and the experienced striker should continue in a front two, but this weekend be reunited with captain, Billy Sharp.
