Sheffield Wednesday have made an impressive start to this year's league campaign, with Garry Monk's side currently sat eighth in the Championship table.

One player that has been key to their strong start to the season is Kadeem Harris, with the winger settling into life at Hillsborough relatively quickly.

Harris arrived at the club during the summer, after opting not to extend his contract with Cardiff City, and he's gone on to score two goals and be on hand to provide three assists so far for Sheffield Wednesday.

In a recent interview with The Star, Harris labelled Sheffield Wednesday as 'a massive club', and feels as though they're destined to be playing in the Premier League in the future.

"Sheffield Wednesday is a massive club. When I was deciding who to sign for I thought: ‘they’ve got a great team there and they're destined to play in the Premier League’. I wanted to be a part of that."

Harris admitted that there was interest from other clubs in the summer, but was fully-focused on signing for the Owls when he first heard of their interest.

"When I heard Sheffield Wednesday from the other teams that were interested, it was always Sheffield Wednesday from the start.

"There were rumours of this team or that team but I wanted this one. It's about the direction the team is going on and wanting to be on board with that."

Harris and his Sheffield Wednesday team-mates are next in action this weekend, when they take on league leaders West Brom, in what will be one of their toughest tests of the season so far.

The Verdict:

Sheffield Wednesday will love to hear of his reasoning for joining the club in the summer.

Harris has really impressed me with the Owls this season, and I think he'll add some much-needed creativity to the Sheffield Wednesday team, as they look to finish inside the top-six.

They're well in contention to achieve that at the moment, and will be keen to stay in touch with their promotion-chasing rivals as we head into the potentially season-defining festive period.
