Pep Guardiola is poised to make a move for Jack Clarke in the January transfer window, with the Leeds United talent attracting interest from Manchester City as we approach the winter window.

Leeds have blooded Clarke in the first-team in recent weeks, with Marcelo Bielsa handing the 18-year-old five appearances from the bench in the Championship.

Clarke has impressed, with the Sun reporting that Guardiola is a big fan and sent scouts to cast their eye over the forward against Sheffield United on Saturday.

City could make their move in the New Year, despite Leeds tying Clarke down to a long-term contract only 13 months ago.

Just how much of a blow would losing Clarke be to the Elland Road club?

We discuss…

George Harbey

He may not be a regular starter but Clarke has been sensational for Leeds when coming off the bench.

He clearly has a massive future ahead of him and a move to City could definitely materialise, but I wouldn’t sell him if I were Leeds.

The Whites are in a great position in the Championship and shouldn’t consider losing a player that could play a role over the season.

Jacob Potter

It could derail their promotion bid this season.

Clarke has been knocking on the door of the first-team at Leeds and he has been unlucky not to have been given more starts under Bielsa this season.

If he departs then that is a game-changing player that Leeds would have lost and it could have a significant impact on their promotion chances.

Alfie Burns

Clarke is still a bit of an unknown quantity, which means he gives something different to Leeds at this time, as we saw against Reading and Sheffield United recently.

To add to that, if they lose him it’ll be a blow and a major step in the wrong direction for the club.

Previous regimes have sold the club’s best youngsters and they can’t afford to let Clarke go. He could be a star.
