Sheffield Wednesday attacker Fernando Forestieri could be on his out of the club should recent reports be believed.

According to radio reports via the Yorkshire Post, the 28-year-old could be ousted at Hillsborough with a loan-to-buy option before the end of the month.

Manager Jos Luhukay has had his hands tied over the summer with the club operating under a transfer embargo, but that has recently been lifted.

Forestieri has been a vital part of the Wednesday side so far this season scoring two of their three goals this season in two of their first three games.

Having only managed 11 games last year, his absence was sorely felt in a campaign that was well below par.

And if he is to go, then the Championship side could well be in for a tougher season than first imagined.

There are only two weeks left to add temporarily in the loan market and it would be a tall task to replace the former Watford man on such short notice.

With that said, is it bad news that Forestieri could leave the club during this loan window?

Very bad.

The attacker is a real talent, and if Wednesday lose him they lose one of the few players they have that can compete with any side

He's a talismanic figure at the club, and they need to keep hold of him as much as they

Losing Forestieri would be a major blow for Sheffield Wednesday, especially after their poor start to the season.

After picking up just one point in their opening three matches, they need to ensure they keep their best players and make some loan additions to strengthen their options.

Forestieri already has two goals in three matches this season, and he has been a bright spark in a dull opening to the season.

The 28-year-old is versatile in attack and a proven Championship performer, making him a useful option for Jos Luhukay and a vital part of their plans this season.

Ouch. If that happens, the Owls are right in the mire.

Both him and Barry Bannan carry the hopes of the side on their shoulders and frankly, losing either would be trouble.

If this happens, I can see Luhukay going, one way or another.

He either walks or is fired, but no Wednesday manager endures the summer he has, loses Forestieri and stays in a job.
