Stoke City have confirmed that goalkeeper Jack Butland has left the club to join Premier League side Crystal Palace on a permanent basis.
Despite his form for the Potters once being enough to establish him as an England regular, a string of costly errors since the club’s relegation to the Championship have seen Butland drop down the pecking order at the Bet365 Stadium.
Butland has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Palace, securing his future at the London club until the end of the 2022/23 season.
In total, Butland made 168 appearances in all competitions for Stoke – keeping 50 clean sheets – having joined the club from Birmingham City back in the summer of 2018.
Taking to Twitter to react to news of Butland’s departure, plenty of Stoke fans were keen to have their say on news of the goalkeeper’s latest move.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say.
Sad to see him go.
However poor his form has been for the past couple of years and whatever mistakes he's made. I'll still confidently say he's saved us more points that's he's cost us. Thank you for everything
Good luck @JackButland_One

No matter how he ended his career at Stoke, it’s sad to see him leave. Always kinda thought he’d spend his whole career here. The move is right for us both though and I wish him all the best! Thank you for everything Jack ❤️
