Barnsley picked up another important three points, as they edged closer to the play-off positions in the Championship.

The Tykes took the lead through Daryl Dike after minutes to give them the ideal start at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. But that lead didn't last long, as Mark Warburton's side drew level just three minutes later through Charlie Austin.

Valerien Ismael's side retook the lead in the first-half, as Alex Mowatt curled a free-kick straight into the top corner, which left Seny Dieng with no chance in the QPR goal.

Carlton Morris then gave the Tykes a two-goal lead just before the hour mark with his fourth goal of the season for Ismael's men, as Barnsley held on to make it six consecutive wins in the second-tier.

This impressive run of form has seen them move up to seventh in the Championship table, and just one point adrift of the play-off places heading into their final 13 matches of this year's campaign.

Barnsley captain Alex Mowatt took to Twitter following the win over the Hoops, and was clearly pleased with the result on the night.

Plenty of Barnsley supporters were to quick to issue their verdict on Mowatt's performance, whilst also praising the team for their strong run of results.
