Dan James is a name that has caused plenty of transfer drama since he burst onto the scene for Swansea City earlier in the campaign.
The winger’s proposed move to Leeds United fell through at the last minute in January but it looks like he will get an even bigger move this summer.
Sky Sports are reporting that a £15million deal has been agreed with Manchester United for James to join the Red Devils.
It is a move that club legend and James’ international manager Ryan Giggs has backed, saying the 21-year-old has the ability to play in the Premier League.
But is he right?
“I can’t see any reason Giggs won’t be proven right here.
“It seems to have been somewhat forgotten that this was James’ first season in senior football, and he has quickly taken the Championship by storm.
“With the ability to match that confidence and adaptability he has shown already this season, seeing James in the Premier League already feels like a hugely exciting prospect.”
“Absolutely he is.
“James is a real talent and possesses the sort of pace and control that would terrorise any defence in the world.
“His end product perhaps still needs a bit more work but considering he is only 21 that should not be too much of a worry at all.”
“Without a doubt.
“You would expect Giggs to say that as James’ international manager but anyone who has seen him play in the past few months will know he is spot on.
“The winger has incredible pace and is fearless in the way he plays. He is going to be a star in the years to come and this will turn out to be a bargain for United.”
