Millwall yesterday confirmed their third signing of the summer with the announcement that Jiri Skalak had joined the club for an undisclosed fee from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The winger joins on, what the club have only said is, a long-term deal and joins Murray Wallace and Ben Amos through the door at the New Den.

Neil Harris's side pushed admirably for promotion last season, narrowly missing out on a place in the top six, and the manager will be hopeful of improving on that in the 2018/19 season.

The Czech started his career at Sparta Praha before moving through various clubs in his home country.

Chris Hughton and Brighton snapped the 26-year-old up in the 2016 January transfer window, bringing him over from Mlada Boleslav.

He made 43 appearances for the Seagulls in the Championship, scoring twice and assisting an impressive 12.

Last season saw him only make four reserve appearances, but he will be hoping to rediscover his form with the Lions.

But will he be a good signing?

We discuss...

Jay Taylor

Millwall fans have written him off before he has even signed so right away he has a point to prove.

Deadly on set pieces, and has a blinding cross on him, he will give the supporters something to enjoy.

Not blessed with out-and-out pace, but will run and run and run, and give 100 per cent effort.

That is something Millwall fans can support so I think this will turn out to be a very shrewd signing for the Lions.

Gary Hutchinson

It could be a good signing, perhaps more so for Skalak than anything. He's yet to prove himself, really and truly prove himself, but if he performs at Millwall he'll be loved.

They're a different bunch down there, success is all about the team and there's rarely an individual that shines and if Skalak buys into that, he'll help then to the top ten, again.

George Dagless

Makes a lot of sense.

He's a hard-working player that will make up for the missing out on Ben Marshall.

Likely another Harris masterclass.

Jay Williams

What you are looking at with Skalak is a lot of pace and trickery with little end product.

He also spent much of last season sitting around and not getting any game time.

If this is the direct replacement for Ben Marshall, I'm afraid this seems like a downgrade unless he can up his game.

Christian Fuller

Whilst considered a flop by many at Brighton and Hove Albion, signing for Millwall makes sense for Jiri Skalak.

All but certain to become a starter from day one, Skalak now must prove his worth and show what he only showed snippets of at the Amex.

Chris Gallagher

A great signing - exactly what they need.

Just look at the impact Ben Marshall had on this team and whilst Skalak maybe isn't as good, he is a similar player. A good deal from Millwall.
