Lee Johnson's Bristol City have enjoyed a blistering start to the Sky Bet Championship season.

The Robins currently sit in fourth spot in the league table, having amassed 20 points from 11 league games.

The strike partnership of Bobby Reid and Famara Diedhiou has been a fundamental reason behind their success this season.

Diedhiou, signed from French club Angers for £5.3m, has had to justify his price-tag, and the writers here at Football League World have issued their opinions on the striker....

Chris Gallagher

Diedhiou arrived for a reasonably hefty fee, so we should expect him to be a good player and fortunately for Bristol City fans he is.

Comparisons with Jonathan Kodjia are inevitable although it is still early days in Diedhiou's English career.

He's powerful, fast and is scoring goals, exactly what every club wants. So, well done Bristol City.

Alfie Burns

Brought in to replace Tammy Abraham, but finding himself playing second fiddle to the impressive, Bobby Reid.

Diedhiou has six goals across all competitions so far this season, including five in his last six appearances.

Despite Reid receiving many plaudits for his early season form, Diedhiou deserves credit, with the 24-year-old beginning to justify the transfer fee Bristol City paid to secure his service.

George Dagless

He started slowly this season but he looks a real class act now and Bristol City have become a joy to watch because of that.

You won't find many better striking duos in the second tier than him and Bobby Reid right now and I think Premier League clubs could come knocking soon.

A real force up top for the Robins, and is worth the money.

Adam Simeoni

A great signing, this guy has all the qualities to become a top striker.

It takes time to adapt to the demands of the Championship, especially moving over from French football, but Diedhiou is showing real signs of progression.

He was a good find by the scouting team at Ashton Gate, who will surely have hoped he was to be the next Jonathan Kodjia.

The pair share characteristics, but Diedhiou is his own player, and will certainly go on to forge an excellent reputation of his own in the second division.
