Football League World's Swansea City fan pundit Jacob Bellayuto has given his assessment of Sam Surridge's start to his time at the club, with the young striker having found his game time largely limited since arriving on loan from Bournemouth.

The 21-year-old front man has only started once under Steve Cooper since arriving at the Liberty Stadium, with his other 11 appearances in the league coming from the subs' bench, whilst he has so far scored just three goals in all competitions.

Despite not being prolific in front of goal, Surridge has still offered something different for the Swans this term, with Cooper's side looking to solidify their promotion credentials in the coming months, the Bournemouth youngster will no doubt come in handy for the Welsh boss.

We caught up with Bellayuto, and here is what he had to say about the young striker:

"I don't necessarily think that Surridge should be starting every game, but mixing up him and Borja and going with what feels right seems to be a good approach to me.

"This will keep good competition amongst the two of them and keep them both sharp.

"I like Surridge as a lone striker, he brings a good mix of speed and size to the position.

"His versatility is also a major strength, especially in the youthful and fluid squad we have."

Our Swansea City fan pundit then offered his thoughts on the Welsh club's chances of securing the youngster on a more permanent basis, he said:

" I think it would be awesome to sign him permanently, and right now I believe we would be able to get him for a relatively cheap fee."

It is fair to say that Surridge hasn't been given as many opportunities as he would have hoped for at Swansea, but with the season still young, there is still plenty of time for him to make a lasting impact during his temporary spell with the Championship club.
