‘A gem’, ‘Fair play to Rooney’ – Plenty of Derby County fans hail last-ditch deadline day arrival
Derby County are surely contenders for having the best transfer deadline day.
The Rams completed no less than five new signings on the final day of the January transfer window meaning that the club are firmly on track to kick on during the second half of the season.
After a disappointing start to the campaign, there’s plenty of work to do.
The last, and arguably most exciting signing that was completed on deadline day was a move to bring Patrick Roberts to the club.
The Manchester City man arrived at Pride Park in the final moments of the window after cutting short his loan spell with Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
While a lack of recent match action may mean it takes time to adapt to life at Pride Park, fans are certainly excited by the new arrival.
