Sheffield Wednesday fans have had little to cheer this season and the club seems to be heading in a downwards spiral under the management of Jos Luhukay, who has rightly come under intense pressure to walk away from his role.

There disappointing run of form continued at the weekend as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Rotherham United at Hillsborough.

One man who did impress for the Owls in the draw was Lucas Joao, who netted a brace for Luhukay's side, but it ultimately wasn't enough to gain an all-important three points.

We look at the striker's performance against Rotherham under the FLW Spotlight:

The towering striker was impressive throughout against the Millers and netted twice from four of his shots in total, which was the most of any player on the pitch between both sides, alongside Rotherham's Jon Taylor, who also had four.

The Portuguese forward also won four aerial duals, with only Atdhe Nuhiu winning more (12) in the Sheffield Wednesday team.

Joao's pass accuracy wasn't a standout statistic in the game, but he certainly made his contribution count against the Millers and was one of the main attacking threats going forward for Luhukay's side.

If Sheffield Wednesday are going to be reliant one player to fire them up the Championship table, then Joao is going to be the man to do just that.
