Leeds United progressed to the second-round of the Carabao Cup last night with a 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers.

First-half goals from Patrick Bamford and Samu Saiz put Leeds in control, and although Erhun Oztumer gave the Whites a scare in the second-half, Marcelo Bielsa’s side held on.

Bielsa made eight changes to his starting XI last night, with Saiz, Kalvin Phillips and Luke Ayling the only three players retaining their place after a strong start to the Championship season.

Pontus Jansson was handed a first start of the season, with the popular Swedish defender eased back into action by Bielsa after his World Cup duty earlier in the summer.

The 27-year-old has watched on whilst Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi have impressed in the Championship, with his return to action a steady one.

There were a few poor moments from the Swede, but the bulk of Leeds’ supporters were of the view that it was down to lack of fitness and match action.

Here is the best of their reaction…
