West Bromwich Albion are expected to lose Salomon Rondon this summer with up to ten clubs pursuing his signature.

The Venezuela international striker has a £16m release clause, sparking the interest of a number of Premier League sides.

If the powerful 28-year-old does depart, West Brom need a new striker.

Could they target Ipswich Town's Martyn Waghorn after his tally of 16 goals last term?

We discuss...

Sam Rourke

Waghorn is a very, very underrated Championship striker that would definitely do a job at the Hawthorns.

He banged in an impressive 16 goals for Ipswich last season, whilst also providing 11 assists for his teammates.

West Brom and the striker would be a fantastic fit.

Louie Chandler

I don't think so. They need someone who will come in and guarantee goals from the start.

As impressive a season as Waghorn had there is no guarantee that he will recreate that form this season. At 28, he does not seem like a fruitful investment for the Baggies, either.

Jay Williams

Waghorn's goals would certainly boost any potential promotion bid from the Baggies.

With the winger-come-forward hitting double figures for goals and assists, West Brom could be unstoppable with him in attack.

The 28-year-old would also be much cheaper than Rondon, meaning West Brom could make a handy profit and still be in a position to launch a serious promotion challenge.
