Wolves are one of the clubs to make contact with Sheffield Wednesday regarding the availability of midfielder Sean Clare, according to Teamtalk.

Is the 21-year-old midfielder good enough to feature for Wolves in the Premier League? Would he be a shrewd signing?

We discuss....

George Dagless

Wolves should probably look elsewhere.

They have the power to sign some very good players, a punt on Clare might not be worth the risk.

He's a good player but the likes of Ruben Neves will be in front of him so looking elsewhere might be a good idea.

Jay Williams

Wolves should snap Clare up and send him on loan to the Championship.

The young midfielder has so much potential but he just needs first-team game time to reach the next level.

He is unlikely to break into the Wolves first-team in the Premier League so a loan move could be a good career move for the 21-year-old if he joins.

Alfie Burns

He isn’t what Wolves need in the Premier League.

I appreciate that Clare is a good young midfielder, but Wolves need to be focusing on getting the right men in to make them a force in the Premier League.

He doesn’t tick the box.

Chris Gallagher

A decent signing.

He wouldn't be a first-team player at Wolves but they are short in midfield and so Clare may play more than you'd think.

He has the qualities to suit Nuno Espirito Santo's side and would be a smart signing.
