Samu Saiz is no longer a Leeds United player, after the playmaker made a permanent move back to Spain to link up with Girona yesterday.
Leeds have known that Saiz’s departure was on the cards this summer, with the 28-year-old not featuring for the Whites yet in 2019 after heading out on loan back to Getafe back in the winter window.
Homesickness was noted as the reason for Saiz’s temporary departure back in January, and now, he’s moved on permanently and has played his last game for Leeds.
Despite 10 goals and 12 assists in 58 appearances for Leeds, Saiz’s move has been forced and the Whites haven’t received a fee reflecting his value.
Believed to be £2.5m #lufc

Adam Pope at BBC Radio Leeds has noted that £2.5m has been received, which has sparked fans into asking where that money will now go.
Many want to see it reinvested in the squad, with Leeds lacking in a few areas ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s second season…
So that’s at least £11 million income this summer. Where’s the incoming signings?
