Hull City manager Grant McCann will be looking to secure back-to-back wins when they entertain Cardiff City at the weekend, having beaten Luton Town last time out to make it three matches unbeaten in the league.

McCann has also received a boost, with the news that winger Kamil Grosicki wants to sign a new two-year-deal at the club, according to Polish media outlet Sportowe Fakty - news that is likely to be welcomed at the KCOM Stadium after the 31-year-old's fine start to the season.

So is Grosicki's reported keenness to sign a new deal, good news for the Tigers?

We discuss........

Chris Gallagher

"This is fantastic news for the Tigers.

"The team are extremely reliant on the Polish international, and Jarrod Bowen, when it comes to creating chances and scoring goals in the final third.

"In truth, he could be playing for a top Championship side, he has the natural ability. So, if they can tie him down to another contract, it would be a real coup for the club.

"Of course, he will be a top earner and they may have to pay more than they want but the reality is that he is a classy player and they will struggle to bring in anyone better."

Josh Cole

“If Grosicki does indeed agree to a new deal at the KCOM Stadium, Hull will have every right to be delighted.

“Since joining the Tigers in 2017 from Stade Rennais, the Poland international has emerged as a pivotal player for the club.

“Although he was unable to deliver the goods in the Premier League, Grosicki’s performances in the Championship have been nothing short of exceptional as he has managed to provide 40 goal contributions in just 84 appearances for Hull.

“Having already found the back of the net on four occasions this season, the winger will be hoping to help the Tigers achieve a relative amount of success in the second-tier over the coming months.”

George Harbey

“This would be massive news for the Tigers going forward.

“Grosicki was outstanding for Hull last season, and I was surprised that he didn’t move on in the summer with higher profile teams after him.

“He has started this season off in impressive style too, so tying him down to a new deal is great business.

“He may be getting slightly older now, but the experience and knowhow he brings to the dressing room will be beneficial for Grant McCann’s side.

“If Bowen were to leave in January, then this would soften the blow.”
