Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will be hoping his side can maintain their fine start to the season when they travel to the Valley on the weekend, to face a Charlton Athletic side who are looking to get back to winning ways following back-to-back defeats.

Ahead of the match current Nice manager Patrick Vieira has spoken to The Athletic and suggested that Leeds United loan winger Jack Harrison is ready for the Premier League.

Vieira managed Harrison whilst he was on-loan at MLS side New York City, so knows what the 22-year-old is capable of.

The winger has started every match this season for the Whites, in his second loan spell at Elland Road, and is seemingly a key figure in Marcelo Bielsa's first-team plans at Leeds.

So is Vieira right in his opinion of Harrison? Is he ready for the top-flight in England?

We discuss........

George Brooks

"I think he could be. Harrison is a talented player and he's done well for Leeds so far this season - even though his performances in the past few games haven't been up to his usual standard.

"There's definitely room for improvement but he's a very technically gifted player and he wouldn't be at a top club like Manchester City unless they thought he had the potential to play at the highest level.

"Marcelo Bielsa has been able to get the best out of him so far and he will only continue to improve with more experience.

"If Leeds win promotion to the Premier League this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see them trigger the option to make his loan a permanent deal, as he's one of the players that could start for them in the top flight."

Ben Lang

"Harrison is clearly a player with plenty of talent, but I think he still needs to develop certain aspects of his game in order to reach the top-flight.

"He has not looked very dangerous in the final third this term, but Bielsa has stuck with the winger as he is good at tracking back and supporting the defence.

"If he is to remain a left winger, Harrison needs to learn how to unlock defences more frequently as he would struggle to hold his own in the Premier League based on current form.

"This is not to say that he does not have the talent as he is still 22 and has some time to still develop under Bielsa at Leeds."

Is this the WORST Leeds United XI from the last 15 years? We'll let YOU decide....

Jacob Potter

"Viera is wrong here in my opinion.

"Harrison strikes me as a player that is capable of playing in the Premier League in the future, but he’s not shown enough recently to convince me that now is the right time.

"I’m expecting him to be replaced in the starting XI in the near future, as his performances haven’t been up to a good enough standard for Marcelo Bielsa’s side after their recent dip in form.

"He’s got age on his side though, and his hard work ethic could see him force his way back into the side later down the line this season.

"If he can show some consistency this season, then he could well be good enough to play in the Premier League in the future.

"But he’s not ready just yet."
