It was a very productive and promising day for Leeds United on Tuesday afternoon.

The Whites under-23 side defeated a second-string Burnley side in the Professional Development League by 6 goals to 3, on a day in which forward Patrick Bamford netted a hat-trick as he nears a return to first-team action.

The 25-year old has been out of action since the end of August due to a ligament injury, and has made just seven appearances for the Yorkshire club since his summer move from Middlesbrough - the striker is close to a return from injury having been an unused substitute against QPR last weekend.

It wasn't all about Bamford on Tuesday though, Izzy Brown is another player who has been out of action this season, as he looks to make  a return from his cruciate ligament injury, and impressed against the Clarets on Tuesday.

The 21-year old got himself on the scoresheet, which capped off what was an impressive performance from the former Chelsea and Huddersfield man.
