Nottingham Forest couldn’t record a third successive victory yesterday as they were beaten 2-0 by Barnsley at Oakwell.
The result was a hugely frustrating one for the Reds, who have had a tough start to the campaign and trail the play-off places by ten points.
Things had picked up under Chris Hughton and one of the first decisions he made after taking over was to bring in Anthony Knockaert from Fulham.
The winger is yet to score a goal or register an assist but he has been a threat at times, and he was a constant menace against the Tykes but ultimately Forest couldn’t get the crucial win they wanted.
As that extended Knockaert’s run without getting on the scoresheet, it caused a debate among a section of the support. Whilst some are pleased with how he is playing in the early days, others feel he should be doing more.
Here we look at some of the comments…
Unpopular opinion; Knockaert is average #NFFC

Prefer Ameobi to Knockaert #nffc

Knockaert massively overrated – flatters to deceive, delivers little. Christie – garbage – again. #NFFC

Can’t help but think, out of all those #nffc signings, the only players that have made a difference appear to be McKenna, Colback (debatable), Knockaert and Taylor?Better alternatives to the rest could easily have been sourced domestically from lower leagues for me. Massive errors

Not a single positive for Knockaert who has looked a class above delivery wise since his arrival.

Talk about big expectations & even bigger disappointment from knockaert.
Can’t think of a single positive thing he’s done for #nffc since he came off the bench for his debut.
