West Brom are looking to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking after a dreadful campaign that saw them drop to the second tier.

Manager Darren Moore has not been messing around either having cleared out some of the old furnishings at the Hawthorns and brought in his own players.

Johnny Evans, Ben Foster, Gareth McAuley, Claudio Yacob, Boaz Myhill and James Morrison are all among those who have left this summer.

Kyle Bartley, Sam Johnstone and Jonathan Bond have come in as Moore puts together a squad capable of promotion.

But they still need to strengthen more in the attacking third and with Nacer Chadli, James McClean and Matt Phillips all looking like they may leave, some creativity will be needed.

If the Baggies are willing to look below them, one player they could target is Plymouth Argyle's Graham Carey.

The 29-year-old has been on top form for the last two seasons and racked up 14 goals and 13 assists in League One last season, and 14 goals and 16 assists in League Two the year before.

He is clearly a man who can make a step up, but should West Brom make a move for him?

Graham Carey probably should have left Plymouth last season when he was probably at the peak age for a Championship move.

Now, the 29-year-old is a season further into his career and is still scoring goals.

Managing 16 in 48 appearances last term, one goal better than the year previous, he is a player who can be a game changer.

A midfield general who gets forward and creates, he would have more time on the ball in the Championship and be able to really show his skills.

Darren Moore should definitely be having a look at the Pilgrim’s playmaker.

Gary Hutchinson

Absolutely, Carey is a maverick but someone who can change a game in a second.

He's pulled the strings for Argyle for two seasons now and he deserves to play as high as he possibly can.

Jay Williams

A Championship club needs to take a punt on Carey, who has been ripping up the lower leagues for quite a while now with regular goals and assists.

Whether he would strengthen West Brom's current options remains to be seen, but he'd be a decent back-up choice at least.

The attacking midfielder could come in if Nacer Chadli and Matty Phillips depart.

Louie Chandler

I think so. With one year left on his contract at Home Park he may be available for a reasonable fee as well.

Having contributed directly to nearly 30 goals in each of his last two seasons he has more than earned a Championship move.
