Derby County manager Frank Lampard felt the wrath of referee Peter Bankes this weekend as he was sent off during the Rams' shock 1-0 defeat at Rotherham United.

The former England international said he will 'look at the rulebook' after the dismissal, which came in the 77th minute of an ill-tempered game.

Tom Lawrence had previously been dismissed for a foul on the Millers' penalty hero Ryan Manning, but when a similar foul received only a yellow card for Joe Mattock, Lampard argued his case.

The defeat ended a good run of form for the visitors, leaving them just outside the top seven, but it was the first managerial red card of Lampard's career. Is he feeling the heat of Championship management, or was it just a case of a passionate man hit by a new set of rules?

We ask out FLW experts, is Frank Lampard starting to feel the pressure at Pride Park?

I wouldn't say Frank Lampard is feeling the pressure - it's passion.

That can overspill and become a little too much at times but you can see the Derby boss is invested in the cause will do all he can for his Derby County side.

I think it's positive despite being sent off that Lampard is showing pure passion in his first managerial job.

I don’t think he’s feeling the pressure at all, I just feel that in the heat of the moment he would have felt frustrated by his side losing a game which they really should have won, and a born Premier League winner like himself is bound to feel angry when his side have been on a good run of form of late.

This just shows Lampard’s passion and there should be no taking away his impressive start to life as a manager.

This is more a case of inexperience, than feeling the pressure.

Lampard will learn to control his temper on the sidelines as the season progresses and he certainly will not be the only one to see red this season.
