Huddersfield Town's spirited grip on a Premier League spot finally gave way last season when they were comprehensively relegated from the top-flight.

Now, Jan Siewart has his first pre-season to prepare the Terriers for an immediate return to the promised land, although the summer transfer window will prove crucial.

Whilst bringing players in will, of course, be important keeping their best ones may prove even more vital in the grand scheme of things.

And it looks like midfielder Philip Billing may prove the hardest to hang onto with Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet reporting that the 23-year-old is looking for a move away from the John Smith's stadium.

But would losing him be a big blow?

We discuss...

George Harbey

"I think it’s a blow they could really do without if he was to leave the John Smith’s Stadium.

"If I’m honest, I didn’t really rate him whilst Huddersfield were playing in the Championship, but he’s really stepped up a notch since they’ve gone up to the Premier League.

"He made plenty of appearances in the top-flight last season, and they could really do with his commanding presence and leadership in the middle of the park next season."

Toby Wilding

"This is something of a loss.

"Billing appeared to be one of Huddersfield's brighter sparks of an otherwise dismal campaign last season, and you feel he would have been someone who could have made things happen for The Terriers in the Championship next season.

"That being said, it appears that the midfielder does not want to be there particularly, so it may be smarter to move him along rather than keeping around the squad, which could well affect the mood and motivation of some of the club's other players."

Ben Lang

"This would certainly be a setback, but it's the least Huddersfield will surely expect following relegation.

"Billing is still a relatively young midfielder at 23 and he now has Premier League experience. This will make him an attractive proposition for top-flight clubs.

'It would of course be a blow for the Terriers to lose him, but I think Siewert is realistic enough to have drawn up his summer shopping list in the knowledge he will be losing some big names."
