Bradford City dismissed 32-year old Head Coach Michael Collins last night, moving quickly to appoint David Hopkin in his place.

Hopkin, a former Bantams player, joins after having led Livingston to successive promotions in Scotland. He opted not to renew his deal at the end of the season and has now found his way into the bottom half of League One.

The Bantams lost against Fleetwood on Saturday with a performance that certainly suggested an early change was needed. They've won two and lost four of their opening six games, a start that was not deemed sufficient by the owner.

However, the manner in which the business has been done has raised some eyebrows on social media. There's few complaints about the decision, fans have realised Collins was not experienced enough to manage the side, but the manner in which it has been done has concerned some.

The picture of Hopkin, with a sprinkler on in the background, was almost certainly taken yesterday, before the news broke Collins had gone. That has caused some fans to question the method, if not the outcome.

Here's a few of their responses from Twitter.
