Nottingham Forest look like they could be set for a very interesting season following the summer sacking of Martin O'Neill.

Sabri Lamouchi has since taken over the reigns and has wasted no time putting his mark on the team bringing in five new faces and shipping out six.

It looks like the total could become seven soon with French outlet Le Buteur reporting that the Reds are in talks with Al Kuwait over the transfer of midfielder Adleine Guerioura.

So, is this the right decision from Forest?

We discuss...

George Harbey

"I think that it's probably best for both parties if Forest part their ways with Guedioura this summer.

"If I'm honest, I feel sorry for him as he has hardly put a foot wrong since he returned to the City Ground.

"I think back to the earlier stages of last season under Aitor Karanka, especially that game against West Brom, he was like an engine in the middle of the park and was just brilliant.

"But Forest have plenty of talented options in midfield now, and it's hard to see where he could potentially fit in under Lamouchi after the signings of Semedo and Silva."

Toby Wilding

"I think this is probably the best move for all parties.

"With the new signings Forest have made in the centre of midfield this summer, you imagine that Guedioura will be set to slide down the pecking order at the City Ground, so a move to somewhere such as Al Kuwait could suit him both financially and in terms of game time.

"With that in mind it probably suits Forest as well to move Guedioura along, clearing space in the wage budget and making sure they receive some form of fee for him while they still can, with his contract set to expire in 12 months time.

"There have already been a number of players either to be linked with or confirmed as leaving the club in the summer as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season, so Guedioura's departure probably won't be the biggest surprise of the summer transfer window if it does indeed go through."

Kealan Harper

"This is a big risk and it would be a big gamble from Lamouchi to let him go.

"The new boss has already made five signings of his own and transfer listed four, so there is a lot of change happening at the club, and that could backfire as it takes time for players to adjust to each other.

"Guedioura was probably Forest's most consistent centre midfielder last season along with Jack Colback, who's loan has ended, and therefore Forest would need to bring in an adequate replacement, preferably a player with Championship experience.

"A positive about Guedioura is that he offers something in attack and defence, and his energy sets the tone for the rest of the team. To lose a senior player like him could only be negated by brining in a quality midfielder, which could be difficult to find."
