Fulham made a real statement on Saturday by beating Wolves to secure their eighth home win in a row, with the goals coming from Ryan Sessegnon and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

However, the game was really won in the middle of the park, with the Cottagers controlling the play against a Wolves side seriously missing Ruben Neves.

Slavisa Jokanovic's men took full advantage of that, with Kevin McDonald, Stefan Johansen and Tom Cairney all delivering strong performances.

For the latter, it was his fourth game in a row as he looks to rediscover the form that made him one of the best players outside the top-flight.

Despite his fitness issues this season, several Premier League clubs were prepared to pay big-money to land the Scotland international, with West Brom and West Ham both bidding aorund £15m for the midfielder in January.

Whilst Fulham held firm, and demanded an astonishing £40m, the reality is that failure to win promotion will see Cairney leave in the summer, but how much would the Londoners get?

Here at FLW, we've given our valuation and compared it to that provided by Transfer Markt.

As you can see, we reckon the player will command a fee of around £25m should he depart.

Firstly, at 27-years old Cairney is just entering his best years and he's a player that has never relied on pace, so should be able to play for a while yet.

More importantly, it's the way the market is going. A midfielder with his technical ability, who is capable of scoring goals and is at a club that doesn't need to sell is going to cost.

When you consider bids in excess of £15m have already been made, Fulham should be able to hold out for £25m in the summer.
