Wolves are now just one win away from winning promotion to the Premier League after a comfortable 2-0 win over play-off hopefuls Derby County.

Whilst it was an assured performance from the hosts, the game will be remembered for Ruben Neves' outstanding strike in the second half that gave Nuno Espirito Santo's men a two-gaol cushion.

A corner was cleared to the Portuguese international who was about 30-yards from goal. He then flicked the ball up with the outside of his foot, which actually set him back, before adjusting himself to hit a thunderous, dipping volley that is one of the best goals seen at Molineux in years.

As our graphic shows, that topped off what was already a fine performance from the 21-year old who was once again pulling the strings from the middle of midfield.

Neves made 90 passes with a success rate of 91.1% which is obviously excellent, however what makes it better with the former Porto man is that he is always trying to be progressive.

Whether it's finding one of the forwards who drop into pockets of space, or switching play effortlessly to the wing-backs, his precise passing range allows Wolves to get on the front foot and attack the opposition.

Last night he was also finding himself with time and space to get shots off, with one first-half effort almost leading to a goal before he eventually made the Rams pay on 51 minutes.

All in all, it was another masterclass from the Wolves man who has been instrumental to their brilliant campaign.
