Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to excel in the Sky Bet Championship, and heading into this week’s international break, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will already have one eye on a Premier League return.

Nuno’s side top the Championship table and over the season so far, have looked a class above.

The likes of Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota have transformed Wolves into the Championship’s dominant outfit, with promotion seemingly inevitable since Christmas.

Following this weekend’s international break, Wolves have eight games to secure promotion, with Nuno’s side currently holding a six-points lead over Cardiff City, but more significantly, a 13-point lead over third.

There are just 24 points left to play for, and it would take a huge collapse for Wolves not to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Should Wolves make their expected return to the Premier League, the likelihood is we will see more high-profile arrivals at Molineux, which will also mean there are departures.

Here at FLW, we look at THREE player Nuno needs to move on…

£900k-rated Batth is Wolves’ captain, but he hasn’t featured regularly this season, with Conor Coady, Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett making up Nuno’s defensive unit for the majority of the season.

There are questions surrounding Batth’s ability as a Premier League central defender, and at 27, the defender needs to be playing regular football.

A move elsewhere in the Championship makes sense for all parties involved.

Roderick featured regularly at the start of the season for Nuno’s side, but since October he has been on the fringe.

Like Batth, going forward Wolves will want better options in defence, as they look to have an impact in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old is likely to get left behind as Wolves march on.

Ruddy has been superb for Wolves, however, the Molineux outfit have big plans going forward and another goalkeeper could well be on Nuno’s radar heading into the summer.

Will Norris will provide cover, which means it is likely he will be retained during the summer.

Ruddy has done well for the club this season, but Wolves might look to move the 31-year-old on after just 12 months.
