The much anticipated Steel City derby returns this weekend as Sheffield Wednesday play host to Chris Wilder's Sheffield United at Hillsborough on Sunday.

The last Steel City derby occurred five years ago on the 26th February 2012, as Wednesday came out 1-0 winners at Hillsborough - so the Blades will be looking to inflict revenge on their bitter rivals this Sunday.

Both sides have enjoyed relatively strong starts to the season, with the Blades currently the higher of the two, sitting in sixth place having amassed 15 points from their first eight league matches.

Carvalhal's Wednesday sit in ninth place, having accrued 13 points, and the Portuguese boss will no doubt be aiming to secure a win in his first ever Steel City derby on Sunday.

A fundamental reason behind each teams' success so far this season has been their respective strikers, with United's Billy Sharp notching four goals so far this season, and Wednesday's Gary Hooper bagging four Championship goals as well.

According to Transfermarkt, Billy Sharp is rated at just £900k, whilst Gary Hooper has been handed a current market value of £3.15m - Is that an indication Hooper is better, or not at all?

So, who actually is the better striker?

Both have very similar playing styles and always tend to be in the right place at the right time, but in-terms of all-round footballing ability, who's better?
