Nottingham Forest host Reading this week as they look to get what would be a very important win in the Championship.

The men from the City Ground have not been in good form of late but they did at least show some fighting spirit at the weekend and the ability to dig in as they drew 0-0 with ten men against Burton.

For sure, then, they'll need to show more of that grit against the Royals in a game that both really need to be winning this week and it'll be interesting to see how many of the players keep their place in the line-up.

Certainly, Aitor Karanka might be tempted to keep his side as similar as possible but he's got to make some changes to his side regardless of that.

With that in mind, then, let's take a look at the XI Karanka could play against Reading...

Pantilimon had a decent game against Burton and should keep his spot.

Tendayi Darikwa will be looking to bomb forward as much as possible in this one.

Karanka will expect him to do his defensive duties first though.

Worrall missed the game at the weekend with a minor knock but should be back for this one.

He was in with the fans at Burton and will be looking to get them smiling tomorrow.

Tobias Figueiredo impressed against the Brewers at the weekend and will keep his place.

Let's see if he and Worrall strike up a partnership.

With Eric Lichaj suspended and Joe Worrall back, Danny Fox moves to left-back.

Fox, like Darikwa, needs to get himself up and down the flank regularly.

With £900k-rated Ben Watson having the armband at the weekend, it looks as though he'll be a regular.

He'll be aiming to influence things after a good showing vs the Brewers

Liam Bridcutt has worked his way back to fitness and was on the bench at the weekend.

It'd be no surprise to see him come back into the side for this one.

Matty Cash has been handed a new lease of life under Karanka.

He'll surely play here too.

Karanka put Lee Tomlin in the side for Kieran Dowell and could make the same decision for this one.

With Joe Lolley going off early against Burton, Ben Osborn might come back into the side down the left.

Ben Brereton has had a good run under Karanka and will probably keep his spot.
