A very late push for the Sky Bet Championship play-offs proved to be fruitless for Queens Park Rangers and as a result Mark Warburton's side will already be looking ahead to the next campaign as they bid to go one better.

The clear standout performers have been the likes of Lyndon Dykes, Ilias Chair and Charlie Austin, with the trio all finishing in the top three for goals at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

However there are some areas of the side which may well need some added surgery in order to bring it up to scratch as the R's aim to make a real push for the top six next season.

With the summer window now approaching, there could be several ins and outs in West London as contracts begin to run down towards expiry.

Here, we take a look at NINE transfer developments that we could see emerge at QPR...

The promising Hibernian defender is a player that QPR have had their eye on for quite a while and he could be one the main men that Warburton pushes to sign this summer as he looks to strengthen his existing squad.

It has been reported in recent weeks that the Hoops are aware that it will take a substantial offer for the Scottish side to part with one of their star men and as a result, the Londoners will need to stump up the cash required to get their man.

It would once again showcase the club's desire to utilise the Scottish market.

The club's top scorer this season, Dykes has settled in well to life in the capital and as a result of his performances, now finds himself under the microscope as other clubs eye a move for his services in the summer transfer window.

It has been recently reported that the likes of Burnley, West Brom and Fulham are all interested in making a move for the frontman and as a result the R's could receive a substantial windfall if he did move on to pastures new.

Considering that he only arrived in West London last summer, it would be fair to assume that Warburton will do everything possible to keep his man.

One of the club's main transfer priorities this summer will be the permanent signing of Charlie Austin from West Brom, with the striker having greatly impressed since returning to the West London outfit on loan from the Baggies.

It has been said in recent weeks that there is a growing confidence at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium that a deal can be struck for the experienced goal scorer, although he may well have to take some form of wage cut to facilitate such a move to the capital.

However it is believed that the club could face competition for Austin's services from the MLS.

Another player that the R's will be looking to hold onto for years to come is their keeper Dieng, with the Senegal international having greatly impressed at first team level since being handed a chance by Warburton after he returned from a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers,

West Ham United are a side which are said to hold a big interest in signing the shot stopper as they eye up a long-term replacement for their current keepers and as a result they could make their move this summer.

Dieng is however under contract with the club until 2024 and seems content with staying with the R's.

Pritchard is a player that Warburton knows well from his time at Brentford, so therefore it is unsurprising to have seen the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder being linked with a move back to West London to join the R's this summer.

The player's career has stuttered somewhat at his current club Huddersfield Town and is seemingly set to move on this summer as Carlos Corberan looks to overhaul what is a very large squad at present.

Whether Warburton sees his former player as a priority signing this upcoming window is another matter entirely, although it could be a low cost move which pays off for the R's.

Johansen is another loanee that has greatly impressed for the West London side since he arrived from neighbours Fulham and the club could well be keen to make the move permanent this summer as they look to strengthen their ranks.

A shrewd operator in midfield, the Norwegian has great experience in both the Premier League and Championship and has proved top be an inspired signing by Warburton since moving across the capital.

Whether Fulham have a desire to listen to offers for the player is another matter entirely, although it does appear that his future with the Whites is unclear right now.

The Swindon Town youngster is almost certain to leave the County Ground this summer for a bigger club and the R's are said to be very keen on signing the talented academy graduate in the upcoming window.

Capable of scoring spectacular goals from distance whilst also dictating the play, Twine has proved time and time again that he is far to good for the lower leagues of the EFL and appears ready to step up to the Championship.

His contract is close to expiry and as a result of this, he could be picked up for absolutely nothing by a potential suitor.

Field is another player who arrived at the club on loan from West Bromwich Albion and has impressed for the West London side on occasion.

Possessing good experience of playing at Football League level, Warburton may see the midfielder as a another option that he wants to bring in permanently in order to supplement his current options in that key area of the field going forwards.

It would appear that the player has no future under Sam Allardyce in the Midlands and therefore he could be keen on the move down south as he looks to get his career back on track.

The Glasgow Rangers youngster is currently out on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Harrogate Town and has been a target for the R's for a good few months now.

Capable of playing in a number of positions in midfield and up front, the young prospect may well be known to Warburton from his days at Ibrox as manager, which could be why that interest stands to this day.

Still aged only 19, McPake has one year remaining on his current deal with the Scottish champions and therefore it would take a fee to snare him away from his homeland this summer.
